RAIN OUT PROCEDURE

If fields are open and playable, no special notices are posted.

Our policy is to attempt to play all games when possible. Soccer can often be safely played in the rain, the mere presence of rain does not cancel games.

When the fields are closed, you will receive word as follows:

• An email will be sent to all players, parents & coaches advising of closures by 8:00 a.m. the morning of play (at the latest)
• Closures will be posted on the website by 8:00 a.m. the morning of play (at the latest)

Teams who have an away game and who are NOT playing at Skypark, Siltanen, or Highlands should contact their coach for the latest information.  This includes recreational teams playing other county teams (ie Santa Cruz, Aptos), this procedure only applies to SV/SLV fields.  Games at the San Lorenzo Valley High School artificial turf are typically played rain or shine.

Comp Teams Coaches are responsible contacting visiting teams personally to inform them when games are cancelled. 

If nothing appears indicating field closures, then fields are open and games will be played as scheduled.
