Board of Directors & employment opportunities

The Scotts Valley/San Lorenzo Valley Soccer Club is governed by our Board of Directors.   All adult members of the SVSLV Soccer Community who have served as a coach or as a volunteer in any capacity for the Club, for the duration of one year, are eligible to serve as a Club Director. Board members must clear the same background checks used to verify coach eligibility.

  • Paid position
  • Must hold a certified USSF Referee Assignor license'
  • Organizes all referee schedules, holds referee meetings, conducts clinics and training programs and supervises the conduct and payment of referees / maintains their records

  • Non-paid position
  • Must have coached or volunteered for the Club in some capacity for a period of one year.
  • This position oversees all aspects of the Club's public presence - including, marketing, communications, social media, events, merchandise, sponsorships and website.
  • This director is responsible for coordinating the Club's photo day, distributing photos to families and plaques to sponsors.

  • Must have served as President of the Board of Directors for one full term.
  • Need to be available at all times for consultation (given past experience) as directed by Executive Officers and depending on community needs and emerging circumstances.

  • Must have an active D or C Coaching License with US Soccer
  • Oversees, develops and communicates the Club's curriculum for all programs and initiates/organizes activities to improve soccer and coaching quality.
  • Manages all club programs (Fall/Spring Rec & Comp, Futsal, Summer Camps, Skills Clinics and Little Kickers) and recruits coaches and trainers to support these programs.

  • Non-paid position
  • Must have served as an Executive Officer (President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer)  on the Board for at least one full term.
  • This role oversees the daily operations, programs and departments of the Club, ensuring all functions run efficiently in collaboration with employees, Officers, volunteers, County/City officials, the soccer community and Board Members.
  • This position is a demanding leadership role that requires you to step in wherever needed, at any time.
